Sixteen years ago, Ciresse fell through the barrier between their world and Earth's. Sixteen years ago, their wife died and their second child was born. Sixteen years ago, their eight-year-old was left alone, King of the throne that both his parents had so abruptly vacated. And now, finally, Ciresse has found their way back home- though maybe not in the way they expected. Written for my Creative Writing class, published as the final, and set in my own well-worn and well-loved universe.
