*SET IN A DIFFERENT WORLD* 'You're... you're not how they said your kind looked.' 'What did they say about us? We're evil? We only want destruction?' 'Well... yes. But you're... beautiful.' 'Maybe. But I am NOT a prize you humans can keep!' 'I don't want you to be my prize, though.' 'Then what DO you want from me?' * * * Legend has it that a kingdom of magical beings, called Wingeds, exists, far from human reach. Creatures who can control certain things, some of whom can level cities with a single snap of their fingers. The legend has been proven right. Humans from the kingdom of Caelir have discovered it and managed to even catch some of them. They call it research, and so do their rulers. Their prince, however, calls it kidnapping and assault. The worst blow lands on the magical ones when their younger prince, their adored, cheeky charmer, is taken by the Caelirans, far, far away from where he's loved, straight to the belly of the beast in the palace of the Caelirans. They tear at his wings, they chain him and they hurt him. But there's no way out, the walls are covered in runes meant to prevent magic, and hurt any Winged who tries to use magic in their presence. The Caeliran prince feels a connection to him, though, that no other human feels to Wingeds. A connection that doesn't make sense, on top of his original reaction to this creature - a strange, warm feeling. The Winged prince is scared of everyone and everything in this palace, but even so, he feels the connection and the same feeling too.
