This poem is a powerful anthem of resilience and non-conformity. It explores the tension between societal expectations-the "cage of the norm"-and the individual's courage to break free and transform. By contrasting those who use "religious" pretenses as a shield with the poet's own unwavering "vision," it highlights a journey of spiritual and intellectual reform that remains unbroken despite attempts to silence it.

Raised in a society where even a toddler's cry can lead to dire consequences, Kiko grapples with the expectations placed upon her by her strict parents and the enigmatic tale of giants who govern the skies. With her brother Kaliq as her confidant, Kiko questions the truths she's been taught, especially when faced with Mr. Escalante, a teacher who challenges the very foundations of their society's beliefs. As Kiko searches for her identity in a world shrouded in silence, she uncovers secrets that could shatter everything she's ever known. 'Don't Make a Sound' is a story of rebellion, curiosity, and the power of questioning the status quo in a world where even a whisper can be dangerous. CURRENTLY ON HOLD :(((

This the first of a collection of Poems (The STRUGGLE TO BRIDGE TWO SIDES), which is a personal exposure of my thoughts and feelings in the unapologetic form of poetry; to spark debates and discussions. Not the type that you express that declares or defends your loyalty to a specific fraction (we hate fanatics), but in the form of an extra-terrestrials expression. If you know yourself not then you've alienated your true self, and yes this alien speaks in a whole different manor to your fabricated personality. Is it crazy to say I hear voices; don't we rationalise in verbal thoughts as well as imagery, but what is that voice which some call instincts, sixth sense, conscience, which I refer to as intuition, that we have collectively come to realise painfully or willingly as always being on point? The artist may tell you it's the voice and well of creative inspiration and the spiritualist will tell you it's your inbuilt omniscience. Since this is my works I will simply say that only when you are alone and free from prying eyes does this voice exercise its vocal cords, metaphorically speaking. I suppose the next question could then be, is this voice our true voice or the voice we should choose to act on over all other misguiding voices that float around in our heads? The fact is the proof is in the pudding meaning the more you trust the truth of a proven action and the voice that revealed that truth the more actions you will have that are "on-point". At best we should only be biding our time like a prince first inline for the throne, perfecting and learning as we go. Come dine with me...the dished served is poetry.
