After years of hiding in fear, humans began to out populate "monsters," and with a a scattered nation of these superhumans (monsters), they where soon forced to hide among the increasing human population. The humans where quite easy to kill off, but they where like hydras, you kill one, and many more follow it. The main characters Moltina and Midnight are two middle schoolers stuck in a human world. With the constant threat of discovery and banishment, these two brave 12-year olds face the world. For better or for worse, they will always have each other. But they aren't the only one whose stories get told. Follow as those hiding have to face what is brought upon them, as each day of their life is a gamble. - - - - - This book is written in switched points of view to show the full story I want to tell, please understand that.

The story of life from a child's perspective and the beauty of the things untouched by man... Hope is like your average fourteen year old in the year 2022. He lived with his dads side of the family in the city for the first half of his life. But when things seemed to come to a downfall and he is forced to move with his mother in the suburbs life takes a turn for the unexpected. He has a hard time adjusting there and is met with many obstacles he feels unprepared for. That was until he met him, his fried Tobi. While wandering out is the forest one day he came across him, and despite his reluctance to talking to him he found Tobi's company enjoyable. The two boys developed a strong bond, at least that's what Hope thought but he wasn't really aware of how much of strangers they were to each other..
