The story follows 16 year old Paige Porter trying to escape a world full of people trying to kill her and her meeting with Seth Black whom she promises she won't let herself trust. It also follows 14 year old Lucy who's blood may contain the cure for the drug as the symtoms never leave the host and her travels with Tom, whom worked in developing the drug but quit after he realised what Oblivians real aim was.
