They say the ghosts of the past still haunt us. They say ghosts move on to the Pure Lands. Maybe both of these people are correct, maybe some ghosts can't help but linger. And of course, that is what the Seishin clan preach: that ghosts are still around us, and that they can be controlled. Of course, something as complex as the afterlife requires a complex solution. Nara Itsuki, at the meagre age of four, was taken from Konohagakure by the Seishin clan as a sacrifice. Old enough to remember his village, but not old enough to form a true connection to it. I open my eyes. Through the dusty glass pane beyond the door frame, I see a ruined Seoul. Buildings are nearly all crumbled, metal framing rusted and breaking. Weeds and vines wrap around the few remaining structures, nature thriving as human civilization crumbles away. Crude structures are built by the survivors, barely able to shelter them from the night. It looks so real. To them, it must be real. After all, I am the only who knows how to wake up from this dream.

This is an original story that I started writing in 6th grade so it may be cringey, I'm going to post a few chapters to hopefully get a few tips on how to write. If anyone's reading this feel free to give suggestions, just now I'm a school kid so I won't be able to post regularly, and thank you for reading my silly little story.
