I noticed there isn't a lot of stories about James Norrington from Pirates of the Caribbean.. I decided to make one! :D .....and also because I can't stop having dreams of him..... not to mention I can't stop thinking about him.... e-e; Maria Swann, the younger sister of Elizabeth Swann by a year, has captured the heart of Commodore James Norrington. Read about their love story as told in another tale. As James feels nothing for Elizabeth, Elizabeth feels envy for her sister from time to time, the story will be told from another point of view, and some plot holes from the movie are covered.

Captain Jack Sparrows only love is the freedom provided by the sea. This eternal bachelor did not expect Ariels bewitching charms. Then again, she was a mermaid! Such creatures cannot be trusted. But the thought that he could he have found someone he lov- no, it couldn't be. But who could be better for Captain Jack Sparrow than the daughter of the sea herself? Ariel wanted to explore the unknown. She wanted to be free. Especially since she has lived in a perfect bubble her whole life. However, when her father doesn't allow her to do so, restricting her from the one place she wants to go most, she turns to the sea witch herself. Prepare the wedding bells! Alice Swann is sisters with Elizabeth Swann. Alice has always wished for freedom, to escape the stuck up and classy life of the Governors eldest daughter, to do as she wants without being looked down upon for not behaving 'lady-like'. Elizabeth had always been their Fathers favourite, as she does not run around looking for adventures, nor does she come home completely saturated in sea water or mud. . . Which I suppose is reasonable, although, Alice never really cared for other people opinions of her, otherwise she wouldn't want to become a pirate. But, when the new commodore proposes, freedom is sooner than it seems. . .

Commodore James Norrington chases down and captures a pirate ship and crew off the coast of Port Royal and meets a young woman, Olivia Pembroke, the daughter of the pirate vessel's late captain who had been forced into a life a piracy with the famous Jack Sparrow by Cutler Beckett. Of course, Olivia is taken to Port Royal's garrison with the rest of the pirate crew because of her obvious connections to piracy, but she claims innocence to the charges. Will Norrington come to trust her word and help her escape her old life? Or will his vendetta against pirates get in the way? And if he does believe her, will anyone else in Port Royal society? Or will she be forced back into a wretched life on the Caribbean high seas?

James Norrington is down on his luck in Tortuga, when an emissary from Lord Beckett pays him a fateful visit. One-shot. COMPLETE.
