This is just a short story I wrote when I was in high school and decided why not post on here. It's a retelling of Cinderella with a Jane Austen twist.

Katie Morland doesn't just believe ghosts exist - she's absolutely positive they're real. She hasn't read thousands of ghost stories or watched hundreds of episodes of Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures for them to be fake. She just has to PROVE it. When she meets the Tilney siblings and finds herself with the opportunity to set up her ghost hunting gig in a maybe-probably-possibly-definitely real life haunted house, Northanger Hall, she won't let anything stand in her way. Not love. Not family. And not even a possible murder. A modern retelling of Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey with ghosts, a Twitch channel, and a haunted house in New England. While we like to keep things light and relatively family friendly over here, this story is somewhat darker than First Impressions. Content Warnings for this story include: - Transphobia - Gaslighting - Emotional Abuse - Homophobia (moderate/implied) - Antisemitism and Antisemitic Tropes - Discussions of Body Dysmorphia and Gender Dysphoria - Discussions previous Parent Death - Discussions of a Terminal Illness

Discover the events happening behind the scenes and in parallel to the events of Emma ! Mentioned when part of the truth was discovered but never described , what happened in Weymouth and unbeknownst to everyone else in Highbury ? A few months before their seemingly uncoordinated stay in Highbury , Surrey , miss Jane Fairfax and Mr Frank Churchill met in Weymouth and formed an engagement after keeping each other company for months while their respective friends fell in love with each other. Jane being without a fortune and Frank entirely dependent on his very proud aunt , the engagement was kept a complete secret from everyone. But if back then finding the love they thought hopeless was shared felt like the promise of the greatest happiness , as time passes without any sign of change in their situation and the reality sinks in under the form their friends and family's effort to make Frank marry Emma Woodhouse , the rich and handsome inhabitant of Hartfield. As she has to watch her fiancé pretend to court another woman supposedly to protect their secret , Jane slowly discovers what it takes to carry the weight of secrecy in the name of love. Retelling of Jane Austen's Emma from the perspective of a more secondary character , this story explores the storyline happening in parallel to the events of the original one , now seen through other eyes. New chapters every Tuesday , sneak peeks of the upcoming chapters and story on my Instagram eleadwrites.

This is a compilation of all the essays and notes I wrote while I was in ALevels. It must be noted that not all of of these are A* material (though none goes lower than a grade B) so they aren't meant to be copy pasted for your school assignments. Use them as a review or to learn more about the novels, plays and poems you are analysing. Feel free to discuss and critique all the essays in this compilation, it'll help you learn new ideas and broaden your perspective of the material. Communication is the key! This is solely for helping ALevel literature students as I remember the pain of not being able to find enough reference material on the web, if you want to contribute to it feel free to message me it would be much appreciated. This includes essays and notes on the following texts: 1. Robert Frost's selected poems 2. The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri 3. Philadelphia Here I Come! by Brian Friel 4. Sweet Bird of Youth by Tennessee Williams 5. Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen 6. The Winter's Tale by William Shakespeare 7. Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie 8.
