The fourth instalment of my Derry Girls fanfiction series. The Good Friday agreement approahces, and new horizons beckon

In a secondary school in Belfast, Northern Ireland, lower sixth Terrence Flynn and upper sixth Chase O'Connell are strangers, operating in quite different social spheres. Chase is 18. Having moved on from a rather toxic ex, He's settled, popular and happy with his two closest friends, Maggie and Billy. Terrence is 17, he has his own best friend Frank, but struggles with his personal identity and fitting into the dynamic of his friend group and societal expectations, especially his nemesis Conner Moore. Terrence and Chase are immediately drawn to each other upon first sight. But Terrence has a facade to keep up, no one can know he isn't straight. He finds himself perplexed at his true desires. In electrifying lust they begin a clandestine relationship that is kept as low key as possible, whilst they manoeuvre through the highs and lows of life's situations, from the past and in the present.

Aoife O'Connell is a teenage girl living in Derry in the 2060s. After over forty years of peace up north, things are now worse than ever. The Republic are done with troubles up north, and they see it as a lost cause, so they're refusing to get involved. Britain stopped helping the north too, but are not willing to give it up. But this time it isn't about nationalists and unionists, it's simply a war of religion.

Most of this story will be in The Republic of Ireland's POV, and I will be referring The Republic of Ireland's name as just Ireland, because that's what it is officially called. There also might be slight cussing, because that's what they have in the Anime, so look out for that! :D I have done a lot of reading up on both Irelands' pasts, and I will be starting FROM THE BEGINNING!
