Sebelum puncak Wat Machimmaram berdiri gah membelah langit Tumpat, laluan ke Pengkalan Kubor menyimpan sebuah pemandangan yang tidak masuk akal bagi generasi hari ini. Bagi aku, seorang anak kecil berketurunan Melayu-Thai, kegembiraan terbesar pada tahun 90-an adalah apabila dapat menaiki "prebet sapu" usang tanpa pendingin hawa. Menikmati angin marhaen yang menderu masuk, mataku akan terpaku pada ratusan kelibat berwarna merah jambu yang meragut rumput dengan santai di pinggir jalan Kampung Jubakar.Kehadiran haiwan gemuk ber-oink-oink itu adalah simbol keharmonian yang sangat mahal.
