Not only are the pups extremely clingy, but they are worried about their owner 24/7. They worry that she is in danger or scared of something at school. The twins have a secret of their own: they are both superheroes. And somehow, they are growing more and more fond of Nightshade everyday. If only they could keep their secret locked away. And there's a heartbreakingly sweet secret about a cat. Can Nightshade juggle all of it? Or will everything shatter? Read on and find out.

A bear named Meadow and her Butterfly friend named Vanessa meet this inventor named Gadget. One day Gadget gets sucked into a unknown place by a device that Meadow and Vanessa can't turn back on. Thinking the only way to get their friend back is to turn the device back on Vanessa and Meadow ask around trying to find someone who knows how to do that while Gadget's villainous neighbor Elizabeth snoops around Gadget's house trying to find something there to prove to her mom Cara that she's a good villain. Elizabeth funds a old map there that she thinks leads to treasure but it leads to a key in the shape of a cat. During their search Vanessa and Meadow meet a kitty princess named Piper looking for her brother and and curious reporter named Walter Sterling while Elizabeth meets a cat cow named Quinnlyn. Participating in story pitch challenges has been a really fun exercise to think up new story ideas and strengthen my story description writing skills (although pitches tend to be too long and too detailed for a standard blurb). "No idea." "A gummy bear!" he exclaimed, his eyes shining with anticipation for my reaction. I tried my best to maintain my cool, but it was hard. Not because his jokes were particularly funny, but because his laughter was so genuine and infectious. "Nothing?" he asked, and I shook my head. "Okay, I've got one that'll really make you laugh. What do you call a wolf that knows who he is?" "What?" "Aware-wolf!" This time, he roared with laughter, tumbling to the floor and clutching his stomach. Laughter bubbled out of me despite my attempts to control it. His laughter was just so contagious. It's moments like these that make me appreciate the joy of genuine laughter. "I knew that one would get you," he stated once he had gotten himself back. I just smiled at him. "You gotta admit, wolf puns are howl-arious."
