But when her parents ship her off to a high privileged academy far from her new home, she instantly catches the eyes of talkative Grover and Percy, who know she's also different from everybody else. But nobody expects the big catastrophe to strike through the circle of friends when Percy knocks Nancy Bobofit into a fountain and Percy is claimed to have powers a day later. Grover admits he's a satyr and Percy is somehow a demigod. Somehow Kiara is again out of place, pushed away from the people who are suddenly growing away from her. But everything comes rearing back when the unimaginable circumstances in her life become a lot more dangerous, and lands herself in the same camp as her friends.
