There is a whole realm hidden from the humans who stay clueless to the evil that hunts at night. Evil lurks in the darkness, attacking innocent humans and Turning them. The Light Supernatural, supernatural creatures who have not lost their soul, heart and mind to the darkness that lurks around every corner, protect the human race from Dark Supernatural, supernatural creatures who have lost, not only the battle against darkness, but their soul, heart and mind with it. When a human is attacked by a Dark Supernatural they receive The Sight. For people who gain The Sight, the world doesn't look the same as before, nor do some of its inhabitants. There are different levels of The Sight, the lower the level the greater the sight. Those who have The Sight at birth are known as Halflings to the supernatural world; people who look like humans, walk like humans, talk like humans and act like humans, but possess supernatural blood in their veins, whether they know it, or not. Depending on how 'watered down' a Halflings blood is their Sight varies. Supernatural beings haven't gotten along for centuries and one of their main rules is to never create a Mixed; a supernatural of more than one species. And what if they do it anyways? What is the penalty? Death. Erza Delaney has been shunned her whole life by, not only people "like" her, but humans as well. They can feel that she is different, not supposed to be the way she is. She feels so alone in not only her world, but the human's world as well. Her parents are no longer there to support her, she has no known relative, she has no best friend she has known her whole life; she is on her own. When outgoing Mr. King moves into town, what will happen? Will he reveal Erza's secret and literally be the death of her? Will he befriend her and help her before breaking her heart or stay with her and continue to help her?
