Poor, malnourished, ignored by the world, he survived on scraps and silence. Until one night, deep in an abandoned sewer flooded with rot and sludge, he found something Public Safety missed. A dying Devil. Starving. Writhing. The Tapeworm Devil didn't promise power, glory, or justice. It promised survival. And hunger answered hunger. Now, a zipper-like seam splits his chest-organic, wrong, alive. When he pulls the tab, he doesn't transform... He opens the cage. Black tendrils coil around his body. A living suit of muscle and teeth wraps him whole. Hunger becomes a weapon. Greed becomes strength. And the line between Devil and human blurs with every bite he takes to stay standing. Living with Aki Hayakawa, surrounded by Devil Hunters who are just as broken as the monsters they fight, (Y/N) learns that Devils aren't the only predators in Tokyo. Control wears a smile. Affection hides knives. And some beings don't want to kill him- They want to own him. Sarcastic, quiet, perpetually starving, and dangerously honest, (Y/N) doesn't care about power, fear, or manipulation. Unless you're offering food. Unless you touch what's his. This is a story about hunger that never ends. About love that looks like obsession. About what crawls out when the world leaves you empty. And about a boy who learned too late- Some appetites can never be satisfied.

I come to realize not everyone know a lot about me or who I am. I struggle so much inside and second guess myself constantly. I don't know if I over think to much or what it is but my story is a real one. One that I think is worth reading because just like the rest of you I'm only human and I struggle and I'm relatable and I don't know if any of you have been through what I have been through but here your chance to find out because this is In The Life of Me and I hope you find it to be a good read.

Cassie Jones was just like every other cliche female character. She was smart, quirky, and beautiful. She had a dark past that no one knew about, causing them all to think that she was perfect. She had trust issues, yet was hopelessly in love with the idea of romance. Alec Avery was like every other cliche male character. He was rediculously attractive, and a notorious player and womanizer. He had "daddy issues" and was known to many just as damaged goods. He was broken, but he masked his pain by putting up walls. He was dangerous, but everybody likes a little danger. Their story is just like many others. The good girl falls for the bad boy and he falls back. No matter how hard they tried to stop it, they couldn't. You can't stop love. They make you feel so alive that you'd follow them straight into hell, just to keep getting yourself fixed. Zoe Royce is your typical teenager. Goody two shoes with the perfect amount of sarcasm. She had everything in her life. Anything that she ever wanted, she got without even saying a word. Perfect family. Huge ass house. Perfect boyfriend. Nothing to ever worry about. He pretty much came out of a romantic novel, like 50 shades of grey minus the work suit but with the awkwardness of trying to control his hormonal disruptions. Miss Princess still has a long way to go in and maybe she did interpret her life wrong in the start! What happens when her whole life is turned upside down within a short span of time? When instead of a dark past, the era of a dark present begins? When the whole of the universe gets against her? But what exactly does life has in store for them? (...) Odd Fires was my distraction. I was so excited to ruin his life, just like he ruined mine years ago, that the bloody revenge slowly became the only thing to wake me up in the morning. I wanted to make him beg for me to show mercy, give him the worst punishment possible. Breathing for the torture that was to come, I was knowingly selling my soul to the devil if not becoming one and sickeningly liking it way too much. (...)
