It starts in a field When twenty people wake up in the middle of nowhere, with no recollection of how they got there, they are understandably confused. However, when it's revealed that a seemingly senile old man kidnapped them to participate in a summer camp, they are even more so. But something lies beyond the surface. There's a secret beneath the campsite, a rift through time and space, and the campers must figure it out whether they like it or not. [I posted it on Ao3 already, but eh, why not here too?]

At first Katherine thought little of this. Sure, some of the things Joey said made her rather uncomfortable and a few of his threats made her fear for her safety. But, based on word of mouth, the pirate's bark was much worse than his bite. She didn't have to worry about Joey following through with any of his threats. Or at least succeeding in them anyway. Originally started writing in 2011/12, continued in 2019, set in 2010. For the Japanese football club Urawa Red Diamonds, the 2010 season brings potential, with new faces; newly-signed young Japanese star Kyo Yagami, out to prove that he's one of the best footballers not just in Japan, but all of Asia; Rahul Tendulkar, an Indian footballer from Mumbai with Bollywood good looks and talent to match; Scott McCarthy, a budding American superstar from Chicago, frustrated with his former MLS side, and looking for a chance to make the move to a major European club. And since it's a World Cup year, expectations are already high. If only the two young stars, Kyo and Scott, weren't on bad terms.

Most people don't even know hybrids exist, and most of those that do, despise them. Wels' father, the captain of the Hermitcraft royal guard, was the first in their family to show his wings to the world. He used them to his advantage in the royal guard, climbing the ranks with his increased strength and the ability to fly, eventually becoming the captain. When he had his two boys, he trained both Wels and Hels in the arts of weaponry, fighting, and self-defence, and taught them in the hopes one of them will take his place when he is too old. Grian is a senior majoring in Architectural Design at his dream college, horribly burnt out and disillusioned with the system. Scar is studying to open the Scarland park he saw every time he closed his eyes. Jimmy is just trying to cope with the loss of his parents when he needed them most, trying to figure out who he is. Joel doesn't know what he wants, but he knows he needs to become someone who can stand proudly next to the person he loves. Lizzie has only ever wanted to help people, And Gem just wants to do her part to keep their crumbling world together. Their teacher, Professor Mumbo, wants nothing more than to do right by his students. So, when the opportunity for a life-changing competition arises-a chance to win full tuition from an organization called the "Watchers"-he volunteers to chaperone. No one questioned it when the bus drove off into the Pacific Northwest. No one thought to check if the GPS was working. Now, they're stranded in the wilderness, far from civilization, with no way out. OR Professor Mumbo Jumbo, Scar, Grian, Jimmy, Joel, Lizzie, and Gem to a competition in Seattle, ran by an organization called the "Watchers," which promised to pay the winners tuition in full. Things go slightly awry when Mumbo gets them all lost in the middle of the Pacific Northwest wilderness. Oopsie! (I'll make a better cover eventually, lol)
