BUY NOW ON AMAZON https://a.co/d/2z4P2Lz They thought love was something you prove. He discovered it was something you survive. When Noah comes home early and walks into a fight between the two women who claim to know him best-his fiancée and his closest friend-something inside him fractures. Not loudly. Not dramatically. Quietly. Irrevocably. What follows isn't a love triangle fueled by passion, but a slow, unsettling unraveling of how devotion turns into entitlement, how care becomes control, and how silence is mistaken for consent. As the women rewrite him in competing versions of who he's supposed to be, Noah begins a private reckoning-one that leads him not toward another romance, but toward himself. The Door I Closed First is a psychologically intimate romantic novel about emotional manipulation disguised as love, the courage it takes to step out of roles others assign you, and the quiet power of choosing freedom over being chosen. This is not a story about who wins his heart. It's about what happens when he stops offering it as proof.

She aimed her arrow at the monster's chest. He stepped in front of it-like a shield. Like a dare. > "Move." "Say please." Her fingers hovered over the keys. She hated his smirk. She hated that she knew he was smirking-miles away, behind a screen she'd never touched. > "You're infuriating." "And yet... you never log off." Outside, the rain kissed her window. Inside, her heart betrayed her. Their avatars stood close-too close for enemies, not close enough for lovers. Not yet. She shot anyway-just past his shoulder. Hit the monster. Missed him. On purpose. > "Next time," he typed, "aim for me. I'd survive you." She slammed her laptop shut- but only because her face was burning.

Hi. I'm literally not even in this book. But guess who's been dragged in to write the official story description anyway? Yep. Me. Priya. The background friend. The one with like THREE LINES. And one of them was "pass the chips." Meanwhile, the author-OhNoItMe, or whatever her emotionally unstable pen name is-decided to write a WHOLE ENTIRE NOVEL about two soft, broken souls falling in love in the most healing, painful, poetic way possible. ✨A slow-burn romance where they heal each other. ✨Deep themes about emotional maturity and trauma and silence and HUGS. ✨Big "I'm in love with you but I'll never say it because you deserve better" energy. Blah blah blah. And guess who's NOT in it? Me. I mean, am I bitter? Yes. Do I think this story will absolutely wreck you emotionally and leave you staring at the ceiling while an imaginary soundtrack plays in your head? Also yes. Because the writing is actually that good. Disgusting, honestly. So if you like stories that: start with a girl who says "I'm fine" and very much is NOT feature a soft boi named Vihaan who understands emotional distance too well have at least one soul-crushing hug and zero cheesy love confessions explore what it means to love, lose, and not even expect to be loved back- ...then yeah. Read this book. Cry. Heal. Repeat. Just don't ask me for more chips. I've retired. - Priya (Justice For Me 2025™)

Josaphina Patelli wanted nothing more in life but to escape her families dangerous lifestyle. She wanted nothing more but to live a simple life even if that meant leaving behind her families wealth and working a 9-5 job. If it meant her freedom then she wouldn't mind. What she didn't think would happen is that the life she ran away from so long ago would come back to haunt her in the end. So what would you do if your morals, strength, and will to live were being tested because you were given the title as the sole heir to your fathers legacy? ~~~~~ PSA this story contains many touchy subjects that can be triggering to certain viewers. so viewer discretion is advised, what it will contain is as follows but not limited to; rape, sexual/mental/verbal abuse, suicidal thoughts, murder, and drug addiction. My story is not to glamorize any of the things I stated in the listings. This story is not for you if you don't like; plot twist, strong female leads, real-life outcomes from real-life scenarios, or if you like Stockholm sydrome (meaning kidnapee develop romantic feelings for their kidnapper) I accept creative criticism ex: "Haylee, I think you meant to type 'syndrome' and not 'sydrome' " (stuff like this, and I misspelled it originally for this example)

The strange boy didn’t just intrigue her, just by finding her, sitting next to her and joining in on a stupid rhyme she felt better. More wanted. She felt like pinching herself. Why did she need a silly boy to make her feel wanted? She was a strong young woman who was totally capable of being independent. She thought girls who pinned their self worth on guys were dumb. She was not going to be that girl. “I wish I didn’t feel so alone” she whispered, softly enough that the boy didn’t hear, at least she hoped he didn’t hear. That would be majorly embarrassing. She opened one eye, just to check that the boy was still there. Yup, there he was. She shut her eye again, took a deep breath. She decided her strategy would be to appear cool, calm and collected. He didn’t know her; it was almost like a fresh start. Even if she did manage to completely stuff up and embarrass herself, she would be leaving tomorrow so she could just totally forget about it all. Steffi opened her eyes and cocked an eyebrow at him.

This ain't your typical Wattpad enemies-to-lovers. No one's secretly in love. No one's writing soft poems in the dark or blushing at stolen glances. This? This is war. Real, brutal, academic war. Where every move is a checkmate, and the only goal is to destroy the other's future before they can ruin yours. So dive in, if you're ready for fiery confrontations, insane tension, and characters who'd rather ruin each other than admit weakness. This is messy. This is personal. This is obsession disguised as rivalry. And it's only getting worse.
