KyogreAndGroudon
On Shadyside, hunger rests behind every corner, and war hangs heavy on the horizon.
Ever since their Blood Garden stopped baring fruit, Nightwalkers have been forced to starve. As the nights passed and their trees remained sick, the way to survival became clear: they'd have to return to the Orchard.
And as a result, face the Daywalkers once more.
Nightwalker and Daywalkers are two sides of the same coin. Equally matched in magic and history, the races, though warring, are intrinsically connected to each other. Which meant that if the Nightwalkers' trees stopped baring fruit, there was a high chance Daywalkers' had gotten sick, too.
Faced with starvation, Daywalkers would seek out the old harvesting grounds of their ancestors, just as them.
But a meeting between the tribes will only end reigniting the flame of war, and this time, only one would walk out of battle alive.
Val leaves towards the Orchard knowing fully well she might be reduced to ashes.
She returns with the prospect of war buried six feet under, enough blood fruit to last generations, and peace finally dawning over Mount Rayburn.
(She also falls in love, but that's another part of the story.)
(I do not own the Zombies movies :[ This story is cross posted on ao3.)
