I was fourteen years on the assembly line at General Motors Van Nuys assembly division. From April twelfth 1976, till 1992 I was employed with GM (and fired a few times) as an assembler, repairman, absentee relief officer, leadman and finally a committeeman for the Local United Autoworkers Union, better known as the UAW local 645. It's a story I have never put down to paper, probably because I have much to be ashamed of as an employee. I've never been a guy that likes to be bossed around, dontcha know? I think this is a story that isn't often told. I've never seen a book about the assembly line and the daily operations of a plant t5he size of GM Van Nuys.

I'm starting this story because now is the best time to do it, this is my quarantine project. Sarah, a normal girl from a small town on the south of England has a lot of pressure on her because everyone is waiting for her to know what she'll do with her life... But what if the future is not what it seems? What if someone came and changed the whole plot of the story? Nick is a Spanish student from the city of Zaragoza who travels to Burford in search of answers from the past. One is anxious for the future, and the other is stuck in the past, what will happen when this two cross paths?

Kiser has created a really epic trilogy with the Tales of the Crystal series and I have loved each one more than the other. The Twelve Tablets is fast paced and it really forces your brain to try to keep up with all of the action, while at the same time keeping you engaged in the characters. For me, this book is very character driven and I like that fact. Each character is well fleshed out and you can picture them in your mind and understand why they choose to do the actions they do. Lovers of fantasy are really going to enjoy this last installment of the series because it hits all the key points you like to see in well written fantasy work.
