Before my novel was dancing in my head, I wrote a story called Damn Animals about a grieving man trying to manage the animals on his farm. All the recent news about April the Giraffe reminded me of this story, as it briefly features a giraffe escaped from a local zoo. The main character, Frank, and his struggle became the inspiration for Wilfred Cunningham, an important character in my novel Still Mine. If you've read my book, you'll recognize this story! It was first published in FreeFall Magazine. I hope you enjoy it.

In the heart of a secluded, mist-shrouded valley, where ancient trees stand sentinel and the air is thick with secrets, "Whispers in the Mist" unfolds. As the first light of dawn breaks through the dense canopy, it reveals an enchanting world of untamed wilderness and mystery. The protagonist, a curious and determined young woman named Elara, embarks on a journey through this enigmatic realm. Her path winds through towering groves of ancient redwoods, their colossal trunks cloaked in emerald moss, and vines that seem to reach out like ghostly fingers. The forest floor is a carpet of velvety moss, where dew-kissed ferns unfurl their delicate fronds with every cautious step. Amidst the ethereal mist that swirls through the trees, Elara stumbles upon a forgotten, overgrown path leading to a hidden village. As she approaches, the dilapidated cottages emerge from the fog like specters from another era. The village seems abandoned, but the echoes of laughter and the scent of meals once cooked in those kitchens linger in the air, hinting at a vibrant past. Beyond the village, Elara discovers a hidden glen adorned with a profusion of wildflowers in every hue imaginable. It's a place where time seems to stand still, and the songs of unseen birds fill the air with an enchanting melody. At the heart of the glen, a colossal, gnarled oak tree stands sentinel, its roots intertwined with legends and folklore. Throughout "Whispers in the Mist," the natural world is as much a character as the people who inhabit it. The misty valley, with its ancient trees, hidden villages, and meandering river, becomes a realm where secrets are unearthed, destinies entwined, and the boundaries between reality and enchantment blur. Readers will find themselves transported to a place where the line between the ordinary and the extraordinary dissolves, leaving them captivated by the beguiling beauty and profound mysteries of this vividly depicted world.

🍂 A story about dusty stairwells, yellow high-tops, and the quiet spaces in between. Hazel and Clara have a rhythm. Two quick steps, one slow. It's a rhythm that has survived since sixth grade, tucked away in a fortress that smells like turpentine and radiator dust. But as sophomore year begins, the world feels a little too loud. Sebastian is blasting pop music, the hallways are full of drama, and everyone seems to be chasing a "happily ever after." Hazel is just trying to find where she fits when the rest of the world feels like a script she didn't study for. 📓Everyone expects a romance. I just want a place to breathe 📓

So I thought it be interesting to speak to my fellow Wattpad Friends and to share their love of writing, food and life in general. This is not only for big writers to share their success with everyone but also with up and coming writers to make their voices better known. Everyone writes in a different way and many of us are curious to hear how another person writes. I hope their journey through writing will inspire us all to keep on taping those keys and making our characters come alive, in whatever vein that may be. The interviews are all about (in my eyes) of supporting writers and inspiring others. If you would like me to interview anyone or if you are interested in being interviewed and you like my niche cafe style. I'm a friendly sort, feel free to stop by for a cuppa. I may even bake you a cake whilst we have a natter, drop me line, lets have a banter and have a chat, honestly I really don't bite. Within these next few pages are the questions I asked them and their varied inspiring responses and if you haven't heard of these talented writers yet, you soon will do. I will attach the links to their works for you discover yourself the world they have created within the pages of their works. Interviews will be posted on a Friday fortnightly basis. No part of these interviews may be reproduced or transmitted in any forms or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without permission by the author. Many thanks Kimberley S B Lieb

He once wrote stories that changed lives. Now, he writes to survive his own. In a world that once celebrated his name, bestselling novelist Leslyis finds himself forgotten-lost in the ruins of fame, fortune, and family. As the applause fades and poverty creeps in, he begins a raw and haunting account of his fall from grace. Ashes of a Golden Pen is not just a novel-it's a bleeding confession, a cry muffled by society's indifference. Through pages soaked in sorrow and truth, Leslyis drags readers into the shadows of his life, where every word is a wound and every chapter, a cry for dignity. Step into the shoes of a man abandoned by fame, judged by neighbors, haunted by debt, and betrayed by the world he once inspired. This is not fiction. This is survival, inked. Read it. Feel it. And maybe... never forget it.

Some stories are secrets. And sometimes they demand to be written. Socially-awkward novelist Rebecca Thorne spends every morning in a little coffee shop, across the road from her chaotic London flat, drawing inspiration from the people around her and soaking up the atmosphere. But when one of her fellow customers is hit by a car, Rebecca has to make a few quick decisions that end up shaping her entire future. From accidentally claiming to be someone's wife, to finding herself immersed in a world of secret agents and organised crime, Becca's ill-advised and often downright hilarious decisions often get her in heaps of trouble. And somehow, love. Chaos, wit, humour, and a sinister twist, all come together to form a story of love, spies, and coffee that might just make you smile, or laugh, or cry. And maybe even all three, all at once.
