All it takes is one word, one stray missile, an airspace violation, or misunderstanding to ignite the bomb.That is until The heartland and ignus archipelago are cut off from the rest of the world after a blinding flash. Once you connect with it and that glass shatters for only a moment you feel weightless, your breath seems to hitch in your throat and the world slows down for just a moment. You feel suspended in gravity defying all logic in place, but when that moment passes, everything comes rushing back no matter what it is. Losing your memories tends to feel like that. It's a weightlessness. I never wanted that feeling but I wasn't given a choice on what they took from me. The world is at its breaking point, society is crashing and there are only a few of us who can stop it. The tyrant known as Crimson and his minions run everything from our most southern borders to the waters in the north. Nobody has tried to stop them for over 3 decades now. But that will change. The year is 2025, not too much is happening due to the Great War from ten years before. Some people want to fix the past to restore the future, or alternate the whole world itself as is. Our best and brightest spend their days in The Facilities where they work first hand with the elements that poison our planet. Below the scorched earth Allied citizens plow through the ground and erect enormous metal habitats. They follow in the footsteps of the pioneers of the soil that saved our society and reopened the doors for long range travel using the Tungsten Tunnels, which cross oceans to connect us. Our homes were built on their blood and sacrifice. They were and are the best of us. If you're like me you end up on ground squad. We protect our society from threats from the upside. Beasts birthed from the fog try to break down our doors and destroy all we've built. But what if beasts lived inside the walls too? We are The Allied People of Earth and the future is in our hands."

A short writing I had to do for an English project. We were to create a museum based on something unique, and my group chose the after effects of Chernobyl on plants, people, animals, and the city. I was given the job of writing about people, and this is what I created.

"YOU DISCOVER TREASURES WHERE OTHERS SEE NOTHING UNUSUAL", was my fortune. With how strange is was, it was true. After a nuclear war occurred, and the enemy taking over, not a lot was left. My family was gone, towns deserted, homes abandoned. Not a lot of people survived the chaos, and now, it's a free-for-all. If you get caught by the robotic "security imperials", you're forced to be a slave to their leader. The chemicals from the bombs infect anyone within contact and can be very lethal. I was lucky to survive, but it didn't leave me unharmed. The worlds only hope now is the cure, but it's almost impossible to give it to someone let alone the whole world. I've seen a lot since the war. I've seen my parents die, my friends get caught and taken away, my home destroyed before my very eyes. I'm left alone surviving, and just like the fortune said, all I really need are my stuffed animals. But they're not just for hugging this time.
