Despite her bullies, she joined the government's elite society, "the Global", as a doctor, in order to bring in her brother, seriously injured during the war, and in need of a transplant. She then becomes the flaw of a seemingly perfect system, and will, despite her wants, find herself at the heart of a war between a corrupt government thirsty for power, and free spirits who have made their diseases, their " genetic anomalies " the weapons of rebellion.
