Opowieść Murad & Safiye to kontynuacja mojej wcześniejszej opowieści czyli Nurbanu vs Selimiye. Akcja toczy się w XVI wieku w latach 1574-1595. Opowiada o panowaniu sułtana Murada III. Sułtan miał 7 żon: Safiye, Sahihuban, Semsiruhsar, Nazperver, Mihriban, Fahriye, Fulane. Lecz największą miłością darzył swoją główną konkubinę czyli sułtankę Safiye ( matkę jego następcy sułtana Mehmeda III ). Miał dużo dzieci, bo aż 30: Mehmed III, Osman, Mustafa, Bajazyd, Abdullah, Selim, Sulejman, Cihangir, Mahmud, Murad, Abdul Rahman, Hasan, Ahmed, Yakup, Alemsah, Yusuf, Huseyin, Korkut, Ali, Isak, Omer, Alladdin, Davud, Ayse, Fatma, Hatice, Mihrimah, Fahriye, Mihriban, Rukiye.
