I honestly don't know why I do this to myself. Why did I even choose this career path? I could have been a junkie but no, I had to love helping people so much that I am now a nursing student. I am so grumpy today and sober, people better not piss me off. I am not in a mood. I pull on my pair of naive blue scrubs, and my comfortable working shoes and gather my belongings before going downstairs to wait for the bus. I look at the time, it's already 6pm and I don't want to go there just yet. I decided I will leave when my shift starts, which is at 7pm. I don't mind working night shifts but bitch I rather be sleeping I managed to get on the bus at 7:08pm and I was still good. The bus makes one more stop before I arrived at mine. I get to work at 7:30pm and since idgf I don't apologize. Since I missed the handover I was clueless. I ask my colleagues/friends/classmates about what's going on and the fill me in. So basically I had to choose a patient to give care to today. I see this handsome quiet guy and I pick him. The other students avoided him since his file said he was very aggressive, so no wonder he was restrained and sedated. I waited for two hours form to wake up and sober up. Once he did, I went to talk to him and he was weird but he promised to behave and I don't know what but I trusted him. Which was something I would never do but I did. I spoke to the nurses and the got him untied. He requested that we do the mental state exam in a private area and I honestly respect patient privacy so I complied. I close the door behind us and I was suddenly picked up from the floor and he spined me around happily chanting that he found me.
