It's 1863 - the Civil War: Ivy Bradley is a nineteen-year-old volunteer nurse for the Union Army who happens to also be an artist, who's not so good with words. Her skill in both treatment and with a pencil has drawn her closer to the 54th Massachusetts Regiment Infantry, and mysteriously, and romantically, to Colonel Robert Gould Shaw. - - not entirely historically accurate - follows Glory (1989) and the characters as portrayed in the film. Cover is drawn by me! -

Lukas looked at me with that eyes, almost pleading for me to stay a little longer, i never thought that a soldier could be that cute, his eyes seemed to linger in my lips for a moment way to long, i blushed, what was he doing? For a moment nothing felt real and he came closer, too close, when our lips met I stopped breathing, I had never kissed anyone like that, other than my mother or members of my family, I know it seems a little humiliating, and I didn't want him to realize it, but he also seemed a little awkward, and that bothered me a little, I tilted my head to try to get a better angle, his hands slid to my waist, and mine to wrap around the back of his neck, it felt like heaven. I had never felt a sensation like that, and when we finally broke from the kiss, he had that stupid smile on his face, that charming smile, which I hated, I was probably more red than a tomato, and he wasn't much better, I quickly shook off my clothes and stood up, in an attempt to compose myself, he remained seated, and before leaving, I looked at him, and he looked at me as if asking me to come back. "Ich liebe dich." I still managed to hear his words ~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~ #1 Youngwritter #2 warromance #1 Nursexsoldier #3 German #3 ww2fiction ~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’ Enjoy :)
