As the COVID-19 pandemic takes out millions worldwide, the residents at Spring Haven are dropping like flies -- but not from COVID-19. As one lone CNA attempts to understand these deaths in the wake of a global pandemic, Charlene Vega struggles to come to terms with the deaths of her beloved residents.

Stella just got hired at a nursing home in New York where she meets her first patient Eleanor Livingston. While working at the nursing home, Stella becomes the fan favorite amongst the staff, when she shares her love of frank sinatra with the patients in the nursing home. Stella eventually becomes very close to Eleanor and a friendship blooms. Eleanor begins to encourage that Stella and her grandson go out for a date. Stella is reluctant at first until she bumps into Eleanors grandson, Blake, who is the COO of a company in New York City, at the nursing home. Stella remains cautious of Blake because she knows the type of person he is and she doesn't plan on having her heart broken. Overtime, Blake finally convinces Stella to go out on a date with him, and he takes her to New York city for her very first time. However, Stella soon finds out that Blake was actually engaged to another woman the whole time. They break up right before christmas. Will they be able to work things out and realize how perfect they are together, or will they move on and forget about their shared time together?

(This is a joke) Y/N is a troublesome teen with a record of a bad attitude and after committing one crime too many she is sentenced to doing community service at the local nursing home. At first she is very disgruntled about her new "job", until she meets a dashing, rotting, rabbit of a man that goes by... Peepaw Afton...

This is a collection of real life stories of when I worked as a recreation therapist with the geriatric population in a twenty year period in both nursing home(also known as skilled nursing facilities)and assisted living facility settings. In some of these stories, I've changed some of the names for privacy reasons. This was during a period of which quality mattered when creating and conducting recreation programs. It wasn't limited to running Bingo games nor simply putting on compact discs for patients to listen to. It was when genuine care, the willingness to learn and using one's abilities in creating positive therapist-client relationships were essential to the quality of life of the patients. Unfortunately, what was once essential had become very much non-essential. The health care facilities believed that Recreation became the lowest possible level on the totem pole of health care. This was despite the endless studies that have proved that Recreation is an important means of improving geriatric patients' quality of life. Despite my dedication to my work and abilities, I found out that these were considered both unwelcoming and threatening to the staff. I realized that if I remained in this field, I'd be putting my entire career as well as my overall well being in jeopardy. For these reasons, I had to leave the Recreation field. It was suggested to me that I write my stories about how I was able to reach geriatric patients using my sincere care, creative abilities, experience and all I could bring to enhance their quality of life. In doing this, I know that I've left the field with my sanity intact and a clear conscious. (C) 2021 C
