Post NWH; fixit. In the weeks and months following the spell, Peter's life has been... suboptimal. Nothing particularly terrible has happened (yet), but every day he goes longer and longer without meaningful personal contact, he feels like he loses a part of himself. He's really not sure how much longer he can keep this up. Meanwhile, MJ and Ned keep having weird experiences. Memories seem to flash and flutter, disappearing before they can grasp them, and it's getting increasingly annoying. It feels like they're missing something big, but with their friendship intact, senior year coming to a close, and the looming promise of MIT in the fall, they can't tell what it is. Between the mystery of Peter Parker (the coffee boy who keeps showing up at her job), the unreliability of her own memories, and the stress of her school life, MJ doesn't quite know how to feel. But she's always loved a good mystery, and Peter Parker certainly is one.

Peter Parker was bitten by a spider and gained the powers of a spider, we know that, but what if he had a different MJ? Emma Stark was born to Tony Stark and Valerie Johnson after a one night stand. Tony didn't know she existed for the three years of her life until she showed up at hi doorstep after an accident involving her mother, who was a SHIELD Scientist, had taken place while testing the tesseract, killing Valerie. Emma just so happened to be at work with Valerie that day and was the sole survivor of the incident. She did, however gain powers from the explosion that she would not discover until years later. Spoilers to No Way Home and Hawkeye After the events of the whole multiverse and having the memory his existence erased from everybody's minds, Peter is left with nothing. He promised Ned and MJ that he would tell them everything, but he had forced himself to stop going to the coffee/donut store, for their sake. He is entering adulthood and has nothing left but a crappy apartment and Spider-man. And it is through Spider-man that he meets the archer that can help him. (Peter Parker x Kate Bishop, I don't want to hear any complaints. The age gap isn't that big and they would be the same age from a none blip perspective.)

The only thing he had left was his suit. He had taken up to putting on his suit just for someone to talk to. He buried himself in superhero work, just to fill the empty space where his heart should be. Yelena is going through a similar time. She had lost the one thing that mattered most to her- her sister. And although she remained civil with Kate and Clint, it wasn't enough. So, like Peter, she buried herself in assassin work. Both of them driven by grief, doing something, anything to fill the emptiness inside of them. In their darkest times, they were sent help in one another. Will it be enough to satisfy them? Or will grief overrule them?
