Story about Elias, a depressed dirvocee, who became a guiding light to the Night Goddess to descend at night and share the feelings of love to the world.

Suddenly visions of an immense army burning and pillaging cities that were once great flashed through her head making her grimace. "No," she muttered. "Yes," it hissed, "this is what must come to pass." The forest grew darker as the creature rasped, "Poison saves lives as night defeats darkness, but light succombs; death's child betrays night and shadows engulf the world in flames. Death survives but is beaten, and a new age will dawn." The words of the prophecy echoed through the forest turning into a hideous chorus sending shivers down the girl's spine. Out of the corner of her eye, as if someone had spilt a jar of ink, the fog that wreathed the clearing began to turn a jet-black. It rose up drowning the small sliver of the moon and all of the stars, stealing away their light leaving the girl in suffocating darkness. "All of the lights in your world shall perish in shadow." It voiced in her ear. She jerked her head towards a sudden flare of fire that followed the trail of black fog. It illuminated the darkness of the cursed forest, spitting sparks up into the starless night. The clearing glowed a fiery red, and in the middle of the clearing was the Flamma Umbra. It wore a robe of black engulfed in flames, and the fire set the rest of the forest ablaze. The monster's body was made from shadow. It wore a hood that covered its face so all you could see were its eyes, and its eyes looked like chaos itself.
