Gandalf the Grey could not believe his eyes at his luck - he had found a water nymph; a creature that would be useful on the Quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain, the last remaining, mighty dwarf kingdom of Erebor. Nixie, however - is not completely convinced at the start. But, then she reluctantly joins the Company of Thorin Oakenshield, a prince without a crown she had heard many stories about - the dwarf lord that had killed the pale orc: Azog the Defiler. As the journey begins, Nixie plays a much larger part in the story than Gandalf had expected - as well as capturing the heart of a King without a crown, nor a Kingdom. After Erebor was reclaimed, and the battle of the five armies was through, Thorin and the rest of the Dwarves took back their home and not after long, all of the Dwarves who were ran out by Smaug came back and Erebor was as if it was never taken. Due to everything getting back to normal, the Dwarves height had to match the work and environment even more. One day, a ranger finds her way to the City of Dale, just South-East of the Lonely Mountain, after receiving an anonymous letter from someone saying they want to talk to her about work. Who she ends up working for, or with, becomes something no one would have ever thought it would.

Arlene is one of the last of the Dúnadan in Middle Earth living a life of an outcast. With no home to call her own, she travels the world, making friends with Gandalf the Grey. So, when Gandalf asks Arlene to help assist 13 dwarfs to take back their homeland, she accepts. But there are dark forces at work and a power growing in the East. With time against them and the past becoming present, only time will tell what will become of the 15 companions...

Confused, and a bit freaked out by this sudden change of events, she is wary to agree to help this gang of men with guns and a hit list themselves, but the rewards do seem promising. Then she can fulfill her dream of moving to England to write her book with her aging grandfather, Robert Baggs. But will Abigail agree to go with them? And how will they react when they find out who- and what- she is?

That is if they even allow her on the quest. And survive long enough to ask her the questions without offending her.

Andreas is a normal girl in a normal world with a normal life and normal friends. Or so she thought. The beautiful world of Middle Earth took Andreas with a tight iron grip. The world became real. It became something she could touch. She could feel. She could fall in love with. But this bliss was only for a small time before the chaos insued.
