Will she put aside her mistrust of those in the mortal world and trust Thorin and the rest of the company or will she forever be shrouded in the mistrust that the world around her created? That is if they even allow her on the quest. And survive long enough to ask her the questions without offending her.

Thorin on the other hand, although seemingly adrift to the two newcomers on his quest, accept their aid none the less. But what if all the adventuring comes at a cost? Or if something unexpected comes from this interesting adventure?

Why is Thorin so cold when it comes to almost anything? Is it for losing his grandfather or his father? Maybe it goes a bit deeper and farther back than that.

Thorin soon starts to fall for her. His feelings growing for her each moment he is with her. Melody also falls for the Dwarf prince. Will they admit their feelings? Will Thorin accept her for who she really is?

Two princesses from very different places leave their homes, one in search of adventure and the other to escape a fate she does not wish to face at home. When they meet in travel, friendship blossoms. When they arrive at Erebor, reclaimed by Thorin Oakenshield, they are met by the king under the mountain himself, along with Dwalin. The princesses soon learn the true reason fate led them to the dwarves.

Young Kiwibinok is the daughter of Chief Adecete of the Nakamash tribe, known for her fiercness in battle. Her tribe has been changed by the power hungry men of Middle-Earth. She is drawn to the company of Thorin Oakenshield through destiny of a dangerous prophecy. She runs into them in Mirkwood and aids them through their dangerous journey. However, with an old love and a possible new love conflicting her, who will she choose if she has the choice? I do not own any of these character nor Tolkien's book the Hobbit.
