Choć jest Filarem Wody, jego drobna postura, niezwykła uroda i delikatność sprawiają, że niemal każda alfa zwraca na niego uwagę. Przeszłość naznaczona przemocą, upokorzeniem i wykorzystaniem pozostawiła w nim rany głębsze niż jakiekolwiek cięcia mieczem. Do dziś łatwo marznie po przebytej hipotermii, a sen stał się jedynym miejscem, w którym naprawdę potrafi odpocząć - dlatego zasypia wszędzie, nawet w środku rozmowy. Najsłabszy fizycznie spośród Filarów, lecz wciąż gotowy oddać życie za innych, Giyuu nie wierzy, że zasługuje na szczęście. Nie wie również, że los już dawno zapisał jego przyszłość. Bo niektórych więzi nie tworzy przypadek. Niektórych nie da się zerwać. A zapachu przeznaczenia nie da się oszukać.
