"You were crazy about me once, sweetheart, and I'll make sure you love me again."
What if you found yourself falling for the same person, twice?
Juliana has the perfect boyfriend in Evan Suthers. Getting together with him in her senior year has felt like floating through a dreamland. He's gorgeous, fit, charming, and a perfect gentleman. They have cute breakfast dates in little cafes, and every Friday night after they go out she falls asleep in the crook of his arm. Her coupled girlfriends are always nagging their guys to 'act more like Evan'. But one Friday night, when she's not where she should have been, the dream crumbles like an avalanche and she's slapped awake. He really was too good to be real.
It turns out the real Evan Suthers is nothing like the guy he was pretending to be when they were dating. His true nature is exceedingly cocky, flirty, flashy, and infuriatingly arrogant. When his real character is revealed, the two clash like thunder clouds. Bewildered and too angry to let herself feel hurt, Juliana dumps every crumb and notion of Evan Suthers from her life. While her mind reels with questions at first, she decides she doesn't want an answer. She just wants to forget this person who she's convinced is a demon roaming Earth. The universe, on the other hand, has other plans.
Second semester, after she's spent all of Christmas break erasing and forgetting, it seems like the two are shoved together at every conceivable chance. Partners for the senior English project, hired by the same diner, and even locked in a shack together one night. It all seems like torture, until Juliana begins to feel the familiar ebb of affection she used to feel for him before. But is it for the memory of a boy she'd once loved so much, or for the real mess of a person he turned out to be?
