For millennia, the Reaper has lighted the way to a dimension where the departing souls would be bound to until their next life. Now Azrael decided to flee to Earth and observe the humans again. Azrael's mischievous (and very sadistic) brother Chaim, know to the world as Life, soon follows his sister's footsteps to the Human world and begins to construct chaos. Viltrumites had believed in strength for so long that the few scientists among them were respected just for that. When one such scientific Viltrumite lands on Earth, Vigil is there for more than just its scientific studies, but the reason as to why events took such a turn. Why Nolan had departed so suddenly after a thousand years of service, the contradictions of Mark Grayson and why Earth was proving to be so anomalous to all other planets in the Viltrum Empire. He was there to study it before Thragg undoubtedly ordered someone to burn it all away. Yet, in his observation of Mark Grayson, he was no longer sure it would be Thragg first.

'I would tell you my name but you won't remember it' She is nameless, you may have met her but you wouldn't remember. She is a shade. Watching over us. She has spent her whole life watching us, observing us. She has seen life but never had it. You may see a shadow behind you in the mirror, or a flash of movement in the corner of your eye, this is her. But you wouldn't remember ever meeting her. So what happens when this silent observer falls in love with a man who forgets her every time he looks away from her face?
