Dec had, on occasion, heard his brother, Father Dermott, use the Bible verse John 15:13 ("Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends") in a few sermons. He and medic Bob soon find out the true meaning of the verse when its put into practice by a dear friend.
