I was given a writing prompt journal a long time ago, and apon looking through it, I found a few decent entries that I'd like to share. It's nothing extraordinary, but I kinda liked it.

There was once a force of evil so great, it could destroy humanity faster than a raindrop could fall to the Earth. They were sealed away in such a raindrop so no harm could be caused by them any longer. At least, that's what the sacrificed one hoped. ... Nina had an obsession with the random and vivid dreams she had. One day, everyone else will feel them too. ... This started as a crack story about a friend from my calculus class, but it turned into so much more and now here it is.

"Mama, tell me a story." With these words, Lyra Harcourt learns a tale of a fallen kingdom in the northern wastes, of a lost prince with a mysterious token that will one day lead him home. Years later, moving to aid her father's merchant business after the death of her mother, Lyra encounters an enigmatic young man who was pulled out of the sea as a boy with no memory of how he came to be there. Slowly the truths of his past begin to unravel the world Lyra thought she was living in until she's lead to the darker side of things, teaming up with a doctor with a double life and a possibly (actually very) untrustworthy pirate... What could go wrong?
