Rolo is a kind, humorous tabby with a twinkle in his eye. With an elderly Twoleg who adores him and a best friend for a roommate, his life can't get much better. Then everything changes when his owner passes away. Rolo and his friend Hershey must leave the Twolegplace or risk being caught by the Cage House. Their only option? The forest. Now a member of ShadeClan, Rolo must make a choice. Nobody said decisions were easy but Rolo didn't think they were so hard. After LagoonMist was exposed of his desire to rid the valley of SolarFlare, he was pushed away from the clan and started Lagoonclan. WaterFlow decided to help guide Flow and took over, starting WaterClan. Now all the groups have been converted to clans except Claw.

Deep in the valley territory, the groups are receiving whispers. No cat believes these whispers until two rouges kit join the claw group. "In a time of shadows when the lagoon covers the valley the call of the stars will send a cat to end his reign of glory."
