My heart still aches with the realisation that when blood meets river, and salt touches body, my body flourishes. I realise I can change without ever truly disappearing. Maybe it's just my luck.

Fourteen strangers. One beachside summer camp. Three months that will change everything. Crescent Cove is the kind of place people dream about-sun-soaked days, midnight swims, bonfires on the sand, and music echoing across the docks long after curfew. For fourteen teenagers arriving from different towns and different lives, it's supposed to be the perfect summer. New friendships form faster than the tide rolls in. Secrets slip out under starlit skies. Rivalries spark, hearts get tangled, and feelings grow stronger than anyone planned. Because summer has a way of making everything more intense. Every laugh feels louder. Every mistake feels bigger. Every moment feels like it might last forever. But when fourteen people spend a summer living side by side by the ocean, things are bound to get complicated. Crushes turn into something deeper. Friendships are tested. Secrets refuse to stay buried. And by the time the last bonfire burns out and the buses leave Crescent Cove... none of them will be the same people who arrived. Because some summers are unforgettable. And some summers change everything.

I make my way down the extremely steep and bumpy path to the seaside cliff. "Crap!" I totally just fell on butt, I'm so glad nobody saw me, it's too late out anyway, only the creeps are around. "Are you okay?" I scream like such a girl when I spin around to see the one and only Aiden Pierce, who just so happens to be the hottest guy at school. "Oh ya, ya, I'm fine, just making sure the gravity was working" I smile as flirtatiously as I can, I've had a major crush on him since who knows how long.

This story was never an idea for a novel or short story, just something pieced together by random topics for a writing challenge to get out of a slump and back into creative mode...so I guess we'll see where it leads... Lana Trueheart isn't like any other girl. Her Aunt locked her up and hides her from the world after Lana's mother died when she was just a baby. She tells Lana it's because that when people see her they will take advantage of her. Lana is average looking, she isn't anything special except when her legs are fully covered in water they transform into a tale, but doesn't everybody's? But when her Aunt dies and she is sent off to live with her Uncle, whom she has no idea who that is. She gets to go to high school like everyone else for the first time but, maybe Oregon isn't the best place to be for Lana. She might get 'Lost At Sea'.
