Scientists have theorized about the possibility of alternate dimensions or timelines for decades, and sci-fi media quickly latched onto that easily moldable plot idea. Of course, after a certain age you stop believing those possibilities, there's no way for the fabric of time to be destroyed, at least that's what people believed. But not Sarah.
Sarah Wheeler started out the same as everyone else in 80's Hawkins, Indiana. A little lost but with the sweetest personality. Her twin sister was dating the 'King' of Hawkins High, she was the head cheerleader for the team, her younger brother was kind of a nerd but she loved to sit in and hear his sessions, and she had the cutest younger sister in the world. But between Will's disappearance, the weird girl Mike pretended wasn't living in their basement, and her twin's investigation into the disappearance of her own best friend, Sarah got involved directly with the deepest parts of the Upside Down.
But in one final battle against the root of all the problems has her body folding in on itself, her bones cracking like glow sticks under a magic grip, and searing hot pain shooting through every limb-
Until it's gone. And she wakes up. In October 1983, one month before everything happened. She had one month to protect Will, to save Barb, but she also knew that some things had to stay the same or else they'd never stand a chance against Vecna. Now, trapped in the past, Sarah Wheeler had a new mission. Figure out a way to try and stop all the tragedy that would fall over Hawkins without messing up too badly with the timeline just in case her entire existence got nuked. All while keeping up with high school social status and trying to continue being the stupid twin.
