Spiral the Hedgehog had been helping Sonic and his friends take down Dr. Eggman's plans since he was a teen, and after defeating the doctor in "The War To Take Back The Planet", the red hedgehog was ready to return to his hometown of Spiral Hill Village, but that relaxation is cut short when Dr. Eggman had suddenly disappeared since his last defeat and the attacks of his Badniks have become more frequent and now it's up to Team Sonic to figure where the mad Doctor went while making some new friends (And lovers) along the way. Completely unaware of Dr. Eggman's latest scheme, Sonic the Hedgehog, Spiral the Hedgehog, and his friends embark on a journey to locate a mysterious object known as the Paradox Prism. Whilst trying to keep the prism from falling into Eggman's hands, Sonic and Spiral accidentally break it to pieces and vanish. They awake to find themselves in a new found Multiverse, suffering from short-term amnesia, and facing doppelgängers that are not the ones they once knew. Fortunately, their search for the lost shards is assisted by a doppelgänger named Nine, who grants them special technology beyond his imagination. Trapped in the Shatterverse, Sonic and Spiral find themselves traveling from dimension to dimension, putting things right that once went wrong, and hoping each time that reassembling the prism will take them home. Along the way, they and their new friends learn the importance and consequences of trust and faith, especially when Nine plans to use the Prism for his own purposes. Follow Sonic, Tails, and Spiral on an outer space adventure as they investigate Dr. Eggman's Incredible Intersteller Amusement Park after the Doctor had announced to change his evil ways but the trio find out that Eggman and his robot lackeys (Orbot and Cubot) have been capturing aliens called wisps that have a powerful energy called Hyper-Go-Ons. The trio worked with the wisps to stop the Doctor's ambitions and save the universe, while Spiral meets a new wisp friend.
