Odeath Stories

Demons roam the earth bringing destruction and ruin but along with them came the demon slayers who strike them down to protect what is left of the human race. The barriers hold strong keeping many safe from the outside world but a few still suspect danger inside the barrier. In Japan, the Kyoto barrier holds something that threatens the future of humanity but when exactly will it show itself? Chizuru Nakamura and Tatsuya Kobayashi are no ordinary demon slayers and met in no ordinary circumstances, but will the past uncover forgotten memories and promises or will it be the lead to destruction.... The flames will dance higher and higher, scorching all it touches. A girl who defies her own blood and ways. The promise they made and the promise they will make. A darkness waits beneath it all as the fallen angel recalls.

A short story I wrote for my school's publication magazine. Unfortunately, it didn't get in, but I thought I'd post it here! A Grim Reaper observes the final hours of a woman's life before it takes her soul.
