Athena isn't sure weather or not she was particularly at peace with Odysseus and Polites' friendship, SERIOUSLY, OPEN ARMS!? Polites couldn't believe he was dead, just the thought made his stomach turn, or at least, it would if he had one... Hermes was bombarded with TONS of deliveries, and most of it was just small notes and messages! Follow Polites as he tries to figure out if he wants to follow the path the gods want him to follow, and deal with his attraction to his best friend.

Odysseus has a problem. Three, in fact. The first one, he's been stuck in this Trojan war for 10 years. The second one, whenever he gets home he's stuck with a wife he loves like a sister, not a lover. And thirdly, there's... someone who makes Ody's chest flutter every time he smiles. (I DON'T OWN EPIC: THE MUSICAL) Split into Sagas, this story is the Troy saga and the Cyclops saga.

"hey jay isn't that literally just Homer's Odyssey" yes but it's not cuz it's different and it's written by an amateur 14 year old loser and not an Ancient Greek poet. also it's gay DONT TAKE THIS AS CANON TO EPIC AND ESPECIALLY DONT TAKE THIS AS CANON TO THE ODYSSEY!!! Things will 100% deviate HEAVILY from epic, but the story is the same. This is full of my headcanons and thoughts. Uses song lyrics when they work :))) Enjoy!

A two part one-shot fanfiction about Odypoli siren aus After nearly escaping death from a cyclops, Odysseus' crew resume their plan to return to Ithaca but on the way back they come into contact with some sirens. As Polites offers to speak to one of them, he fails to realize until it is too late that the siren would disguise herself as none other but the one he loves the most, his friend since childhood, the captain of the ship, Odysseus of Ithaca himself. "But this was better than the sun. It was his sun. His star. He was his light." And Polites falls onto the floor. Suddenly he's no longer the light and warmth that surrounds Odysseus. "Goodbye Polites." Nightmares follow. Even when awake. Even after death. "Every freckle peppered on should have been perfectly aligned in the constellation of his beauty."

The Gods decide to do Odysseus a favor and turn Polites into a constellation pointing towards Ithaca so he can always be Odysseus' light. As he has continuous nightmares about the 'friend' he lost, he talks to the stars about his feelings and troubles, something he would usually would have done with Polites. But little does he know the man, although dead, can still hear his voice begging for an answer even high in the sky or deep in the underworld. The ghost waits for the day he can give the answers to the prince he so adores.
