I'm currently OBSESSED with all things EPIC and just finished writing the first chapter of this short little story that started out as a vague idea in my head. Please Please Please leave comments or interact with this post in some way! I need the validation/feedback/constructive criticism to improve my writing. So far I only have the characters that appear in this chapter listed as the "Main Characters" but I do plan on adding Athena to the story and I'm also thinking of incorporating Zeus or Hermes into the story I just don't know how/in what capacity I want to include them in the story or if I should even include them in the story at all(this is where your comments would be very much appreciated!)

After Odysseus gets in the water, he is washed ashore on a new island..but now, he's a monster, a proper monster. Whoever gets in the way now will suffer, whoever DARES TO- ... wait, is that...hestia? How would she even help? But will she even help? or blame him for the breaking apart of 600 families? YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Homer's "The Odyssey" in Penelope's (Odysseus' wife) POV Heavily inspired by Epic the Musical (it's so good- please listen to it-)

It was the second year of high school. Helen Tyndareus was the star of the school, the one that everyone had their eye on. Nearly all the boys in the school wanted to date her, and the girls wanted a shred of her fabled beauty. When Odysseus Laertes arrives for his first year in Spartan High, he can't help but feel in awe of her beauty. Though, he isn't too sure about this dating idea all together, especially when he has to adjust to the social structure of his new school, which is nothing like his old one. --- A high school AU of the events that happened before the Iliad!! Helen's suitors, where everyone basically falls in love lol. The cover will be temporary until I finish drawing it out :) This work is all written by me!

epic but im turning it into a book. "hey jay isn't that literally just Homer's Odyssey" yes but it's not cuz it's different and it's written by an amateur 14 year old loser and not an Ancient Greek poet. also it's gay DONT TAKE THIS AS CANON TO EPIC AND ESPECIALLY DONT TAKE THIS AS CANON TO THE ODYSSEY!!! Things will 100% deviate HEAVILY from epic, but the story is the same. This is full of my headcanons and thoughts. Uses song lyrics when they work :))) Enjoy!
