The inspiration for this tempoem came to me when I was daydreaming about how wonderful it would be to have a daughter. I admire my friends', siblings' and sister-in-law's beautiful daughters and granddaughters. I realize what a treasure chest of companionship I am lacking.

Humans are no longer a threat to our existence as we have made peace, but not before they destroyed 60% of the supernatural societies many species have already gone extinct and there are many humans who still don't trust us, but there's still hope.... We no longer need to hide and have built many cities for our own people. Humans are welcomed to stay but it never lasts long. They out number us in terms of population on the earth. As our numbers are dwindling despite our longevity. Sadly there aren't many children being born naturally. We have made some progress over the years, but with progress there is downfall. At the end of it all everyones goal is to not just survive, but live and maybe if they're lucky they can live happily, in safety forever,... even if it is behind walls. The Kuroko twins Tetsui and Tetsumi sign up for the basketball club at Teiko Middle School. After their tryouts, they were placed in the 1st string along with 5 prodigies who became known as the 2nd Generation of Miracles who were not related to the 1st Generation of Miracles and were even stronger. The Kuroko twins earned the title of the Lone Phantom when only one of them was on the court, and the Double Phantom when they were both on the court. After graduating from Teiko, the members of the 2nd Generation of Miracles split up, going to separate high schools. Of course, the twins followed the path of their father Kuroko Tetsuya and went to Seirin High where they signed up for the basketball club there. Will the twins carry on their father's legacy and lead their team to a glorious victory once more? This is the sequel fan fiction to "Why did it come to this?!" a Kuroko Tetsuya X Reader fan fiction. This fan fiction follows the path of the twin boys the reader and Kuroko Tetsuya conceived together in the x-reader fan fiction series. You're definitely going to have to read "Why did it come to this?!" first in order to understand the context of some of the chapters in "The Phantom Returns 2X" because it is a sequel.
