A young, high school age Austin Carlile is lonely and bullied. He has a small group of friends but feels like he's missing something. When Madison Haythe moves in next door he thinks she's beautiful. They bond at school and they become best friends. But something tears them apart and they may not make it.

Recently our class read Of Mice And Men so I wanted to give it an angsty ending, of course. I wonder if they'll see this hoho. And read tags for tw Of Mice And Men, a novella by John Steinbeck.

So basically in English we read Of Mice and Men and then we had to write a narrative about what happened after the ending!! so ya idk this is from the beginning of the year (first submitted on 11/21/22, revised on 1/26/22) if there are any errors, tell me, i may or may not fix it! i also haven't read this like since i submitted it 💀 i will probably read it after i publish this but yea It was originally named "Death of a Friend" on the essay, but for this i changed it to "The Aftermath" THIS IS MY OWN INTERPRETATION! A careless mother had enough of her daughter's "foolishness" (although she's a sweet soul in both the inside and outside) so she called a nanny who's actually from a band (Oliver!) instead of an ordinary woman. When he came, a whole new life had just started with him and that little "caregiver-" making him a reminder about the girl's deceased father. A few months later, the mother accidentally called Austin instead of Oliver, mistakenly thought he's actually Oliver. What would it be in a problem like this- having two "nannies?" An alternate ending to John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, where Curley's wife and Lennie do not die. Instead, Lennie finds redemption, and he and George stay together, leading to a happy ending. BECAUSE I LOVE THEM TOO MUCH! REDEMPTION OF LENNIE!! And I am really sorry if the writing is bad. It is my first time ever writing anything like this.
