He walks through her struggles alongside her and even when he begins to learn of her reputation and the things she has done he stands by her. She learns through him that there is a God and that he forgives and more importantly to her, cleanses. She instantly connects with the woman when she sees how God redeemed her when she helped the two spies. From that point she starts to see a little light in her future that she had never seen before.
