a sad story set in 1924. i made this story 3 years ago when i was around 12/13 while going through a terrible time in my life. i finished it adding the part where Bruno grows up and visits the forest one last time in search for Mary last year. i am now 16 and although i am still struggling significantly and feel like giving up my struggles are very different from when i was 12/13. this is a reminder to myself- and to anyone that may read this that you WILL make it through whatever your going through right now. take my message and this story as a sign to keep going and not give up hope. after all Bruno grew up, moved out, started a family. and his life turned out totally fine in the end. and Mary- she eventually moved on. wherever she may be she is free now- no longer trapped. they both grew up and moved past their struggles and moved on. and they did it- together. no matter where they are today, Mary will always be a big part of Bruno's life and Bruno will always be a big part of Mary's soul. Mary and Bruno will always be together despite never being able to see eachother again. they helped eachother in ways they couldnt have imagined. so take this as a sign that you can also make it through. and you don't have to do it alone. -to anyone whom this may concern from a very depressed 16 year old girl. i believe in you. and maybe one day i will believe in myself too.
