Micheal Robinavitch and Jack Abbot spend twenty years falling in and out of each other's lives-first as med students who share a spark, then as two men reunited on a foggy New Orleans night before Jack ships off to war. Years later, fate brings them together again in a VA rehab facility, where Jack is broken and Robby is the only familiar thing left in his world.
Their story isn't simple-there's trauma, missed chances, bad timing, grief, and all the words they never said. But through war, loss, and the messy years in between, they keep finding their way back to each other.
Because no matter how far they drift, Robby and Jack are always meant to collide.
