Sylvia and her mother move to the Galar region, where her mother will work to help find a successor for her grandmother's gym, and Sylvia will try her luck in the gym challenge. **Sylvia is just a made up character, she isnt from the games and I just wanted to write a sword/shield fic!! I never actually insert myself into x reader books so I decided to just make up my own character Also, this is written more as a real-life sort of book, with actual human problems and not just stuff out of the game as I kinda wanted a more realistic approach and more to work with!

As well as experience the mysterious and powerful phenomenon that is Dynamaxing. Follow along with Jac, a trainer endorsed by Champion Leon himself, and her childhood friend Hop as they go through the challenge. Watch as they face many challenges along the way, find and battle new rivals, and experience growth of both the physical and emotional sense. Both want to be champion, but only one can attempt to defeat the Unbeatable Leon. ~~~ This story is for the purely to indulge myself in writing a self-insert fanfic. This is purely for fun. This is also based on my playthrough of the game, and the main team will be based off of my Nuzlocke team. My Nuzlocke is currently going on, and it is in Pokemon Shield. I have already played and completed the story and post-game content in Sword. EXPECT SPOILERS ABOUT THE PLOT!! EXPECT A ROMANTIC SUBPLOT THAT WILL NOT BE THAT SUBTLE!! Jac is my own Original Character. (Or I guess just me.) All Characters are owned by Pokemon.

Y/n L/n has became Galar's Fire Type Gym Leader after taking Kabu's place. Motostoke Gym is quite a great place although Y/n and their Pokémon can usually be found in Wyndon with a few friends. Y/n's team consists of their Pokémon partner Houndoom, Volcarona, Talonflame and Typhlosion. All Pokémon are quite strong. Y/n's best friend being the Galar champion Leon had its benefits of course, always being invited for multiple parties and or getting to go out with him more often than others was amazing. Although Y/n noticed Leon is beginning to act different and invite them out more often, Y/n enjoys spending time with him but doesn't he have anything else to do? When Chairman Rose decides to send out The Darkest Day to make Galar a "better" place what'll happen to the bond both Leon and Y/n share?

Have you played Pokemon Sword and/or Shield? If you did, then you're probably familiar with Sonia's yamper then, correct? The dog that you're supposed to follow sometimes, even though you already know where to go. Imagine what the storyline for the games would be if this little doggo was the antagonist, and was actually undercover this whole time? Would he (I honestly don't know the gender of Sonia's yamper, so I'mma just make 'em male) be actually working for another evil team in Galar that isn't Team Yell because they're not really evil?
