This is a prequel to Oliver Twist. I adore this story and I was always intrigued by Bill Sykes, I know that sounds bad, and then this idea came to me Maple is a well renowned thief, but after she's exiled by her master, she's forced to stumble to London to try and regain her reputation. The question is will she survive there after meeting Fagin and finding out the truth about who she is?

After years of thievery, Jack Dawkins has finally built a quiet life in the small town of Port Victoria, working as one of the town's surgeons. But the streets he left behind are never far away. The title says it all. It's a retelling of the story but it's the characters texting + random scenes. Oliver Twist belongs to Charles Dickens. This story and my OCs belong to me. The cover does not belong to me I found it on Google.

London was a rather large town back in the 1800s, and still is today. And even though the large town benefited how the English folk lived. It also was filled with criminals who were rotten and dirty. --------------- In the shadows of London, there was a gang of boys who were ruled by the most wanted person in London. William Sykes. Their trainer, Fagin was like a father to them. And never really listened to William. Even though his demeanour was very intimidating. There was also lone criminals, like the Silent Bird. She had been an Orphan since she was 6, but fled the horrible place one night. After that occurrence, it had been said she now pick-pockets in London and is as silent as a dead man walking. For 8 years she hasn't opened her mouth to anyone. But will dodger change that? While pick-pocketing, she comes across Jack Dawkins, otherwise known as The Artful Dodger and he invites her to join 'Bills Boys' and even though she refuses to speak, she might open her mouth to this charming boy. -------------- The cover of this book was made by me. I used the app, Phonto. A cool app where you can make posters or book covers. To get different fonts there is a website that will be linked on the App I presume. The Silent Bird is portrayed by Kyla Mathews, but will go by the name Emery Bridget. I am also using the 2005 Oliver Twist characters, so The Artful Dodger will be played by the 2005 version, because the main characters are around the same height. Sorry for any inconvenience if you were hoping for the 60s Dodger. But it's no problem at all if you wish to imagine him like that. :) Bye! 💞
