Jasmine Pierson is used to being told she's invisible and has always been shy about how she feels at Mesa High School. That is, until a certain new student voices exactly how she's feeling and she can't stop herself from joining in and telling everyone how she feels. That girl, Stella Yamada has her own emotional baggage at her home. After both girls get detention with the unfairly paid music teacher Miss Reznick, they and four others decide to let the power of music go. What the two girls don't realize is their chemistry is one of the most amazing things about the band. With crazy paparazzi and people dying for them to just admit their true feelings already, the two girls are caught in the middle thinking about if they're really just friends.
