Being called emo because I redid my black hair dye. Being called a lesbian because I hugged my friend, who happens to be a lesbian. My parents arguing about how much they hate each other. Why don’t they just get a divorce? It is tearing us apart. It is tearing my skin apart. I went to school today, and I walked into class in my new pink skirt, fading white-pink shirt, and black leather jacket, and I got stares from everyone. I called Ashley, and she came and picked me up. I got home, and cried. I walked to my bathroom, and did it. 8 times. 8 damn times. I have no purpose anymore.” After she read that, she fell to the ground crying. She remembered all of the bullies. All of her scars. She was 19, and STILL couldn’t get over how she was when she was 14.
