Kokichi Ouma was a "normal" high school student, in a not so normal high school. He lives a pretty normal life, or at least thats what he tells everyone. Kokichi never told anyone about his disease, but then again why would he? He couldn't tell his parents, since his mom was dead and his dad was.. not a person you would wanna tell that kind off thing. His friends would bully him, he thought to himself. He didn't need more bullying. No one liked him. No one. He did like somebody though. The ultimate detective, Shuichi Saihara.

Every day, Shuichi sits alone behind the school, reading his book peacefully, almost as if he enjoyed being lonely. But it was not always the case, as he used to be social and cheerful. Kokichi gets intrigued and worried by his unordinary behavior and decides to approach this outsider to get some answers. Will there forever be an animosity between these two? Or maybe a long awaited frienship could bloom? Perhaps even more? As usual, I don't like spoiling in the tags, so I will write some trigger warnings here. Ignore them if you prefer discovering the story as it goes. TRIGGER WARNING! Later in the story there is going to be a the death of a major character.

These oneshots consist of: -Fluff -(Not very likely) smut -Different AUs So far, everything is fluff. I won't be doing angst because I'm not really a huge fan of them. Some may be long, short, based on pictures, and you may request if you wish to. Updates will be random, but I'll try to be a bit consistent.

Just a heads up, I know they are Japanese however, I don't live in Japan nor do I know any of the culture and I don't want to get things wrong therefore this will be set in America, in NYC because I used to live there and I know what it's like also cities just have more charm to them honestly . . . Shuichi Saihara is a detective and was good at it from a young age. He is hired on the case to find the Joker, who has robbed countless museums and stolen important artifacts. Meanwhile, his old friend Kokichi recently moved back into the city, will his personal life get in the way of his work? And are they both way closer then Shuichi originally thought..?

(Revised 2023) I could only manage to nod my head "yes" out of nervousness, but as I looked down to his small, curled lips, I was immediately drawn back in and had to hold myself back from inching any closer. I watched Ouma's smile grow and my eyes reactively shot back up to his. I swallowed the air that I nervously held in as he studied the movement in my eyes, and whispered, "You're a bad liar, Saihara."

Despite being in a perfect and loving relationship with Kaede, Shuichi can't help but feel troubled, anxious, and scared. He is unable to reciprocate the girl's feelings and the guilt from keeping his lack of emotion secret for the longest of times weighs on his shoulders ever since. What should he do, what can he do? And what if a fortuitous encounter changed his whole life? Part 1 (Part 2 is Besties but Better)
